I grew up in a small west Texas town called Winters. I am the daughter of Jimmy and Ginny Smith. My dad is a veterinarian and my mom......well, she was just wonderful. I have a sister that I named "Rabbit". She was born when I was 4 years old. Mom told me that I was going to have a baby brother or sister and I was going to get to help name the baby. I told her that I didn't want a brother or sister, I wanted a "Rabbit". I grew up with many animals in my life and the first orpahed calf I helped raise as a very young child was named "Buttercup". This name "Buttercup Photography" ties my love of my family, friends, pets and art together that has made me who I am today. As I grew up, my first photo was a picture of her with her newborn calf. I lost my mom from breast cancer in April 1998. I am a mother of 3 beautiful children and wife of a steer wrestler. I am a lover of art history.
